Syllabus:

• Chapter 1: Introduction
• Chapter 2: Four important linear PDE
• Chapter 3: Nonlinear first-order PDE
• Chapter 4: Other ways to represent solutions
• Chapter 5: Sobolev spaces
• Chapter 6: Second order elliptic PDE

Grading policy: 60% of the grade will be determined by homework that is assigned each week, and 40% of the grade will be determined by an 30 minute oral exam at the end of the semester.
