Libby Prison, Richmond, VA
Here are some photographs taken of Libby Prison in Richmond, VA in April 1865 after it was captured by the Union. Alvin H. Ingalls was held as a POW here for 5 days, from 8 July to 13 July 1864. He was then transferred to a hospital in Richmond instead of being sent to Andersonville Prison in GA.
