Research Interests

Executive functions and the frontal lobe:

  1. Milwaukee Card Sorting Test
  2. Basic reaction time measures of forming, switching, and maintaining mental set
  3. Stroop effect research
  4. fMRI activation in clinical measures of executive function

fMRI (Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) activation map of one subject's performance on a Spatial Working Memory task. Marked lateral frontal (B44,46,6,9) and medial frontal (B24) activation is evident, as well as occipital and supra-modal cortex (B39/40) activation.
