Executive functions and the frontal lobe:
- Milwaukee Card Sorting Test
- Basic reaction time measures of forming, switching, and maintaining mental set
- Stroop effect research
- fMRI activation in clinical measures of executive function
fMRI (Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
activation map of one subject's performance on a Spatial Working Memory task. Marked
lateral frontal (B44,46,6,9) and medial frontal (B24) activation is evident,
as well as occipital and supra-modal cortex (B39/40) activation.
