Text: Essential Calculus by James Stewart

Topics: Applications of integration, techniques of integration; infinite sequences and series; parametric equations, conic sections, and polar coordinates.

Material to be covered: Section 5.8; Chapter 6 (except 6.4); Chapters 7,8,9

Students are to obtain course information and homework from the class web pages. Students are expected to check the web page frequently for updates.

Course Grade: There will be four exams and a final comprehensive exam. The lowest of the four exam grades will be dropped. Each remaining exam is 25% of the course grade. The final exam is 25% of the course grade. Makeup exam given only if more than one exam has been misssed with sufficient documentation for each missed exam.

Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in Math 226(P), 227(P), 228(P), 229(P), or 231(P).  

Drop Dates: Last date to change to/from audit is September 17; last day to drop is October 26, and last day to drop without a `w' grade is October1. Students should check these dates online.

Exam Dates: Exam I Monday September 24; Exam II Wednesday October 17; Exam III Wednesday November 14; Exam IV Monday December 10

Final Exam Date: Monday December 17; 5:00 - 6:50 EMS E 220
