| MISCELLANEOUS: |
- Come to class on time and don't leave early! Please avoid these
disruptions as a courtesy to your fellow students and to the instructor
- Read the assigned section(s) of the textbook both before and after the lecture.
This is the most efficient way to absorb the material.
- The syllabus and other course materials are available on line.
Point your web browser to
www.uwm.edu/~kahl/100/.
Some course materials, such as the
image gallery and the
Virtual Weather Map Room, are only available on-line.
- Bring your textbook to class! I will often refer to
figures in the book.
- Ask questions! Just because you're studying meteorology doesn't mean
you have to blunder about in a fog or walk around with your head in the clouds.
- Do not miss the exams! No make-up exams will be given without a
signed medical excuse.
- Get in the habit of watching television weather reports. This will help you
to put your newly-acquired knowledge to work in your everyday life.
- UWM regulations regarding academic conduct, religious observances,
posting grades, grading, drop policies, students called to military
service, final exams and other issues are described
here.
