Ecroyd Award for Outstanding Teaching in Higher Education, December 1999.  A National Communication Association award given to honor an NCA member who exemplifies superlative teaching in higher education.  The National Communication Association (NCA) is a non-profit organization of approximately 7,100 educators, researchers and practitioners who work and reside in every state and more than 20 foreign countries. The purpose of the Association is to promote study, criticism, research, teaching, and application of the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication.

 

2.1.2.05           University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Alumni Association Teaching Excellence Award, December 1998.

 

                        Awarded annually for excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching.  This award is given to one of the +900 faculty members of the university and is based on a committee and alumni review.

A grant from the State of Wisconsin to investigate the capacity and potential market for overseas instructional activities by the University of Wisconsin System.

 

Received  April 1, 2001.  $400,000.00

 

A three phase project involving a capacity study to ascertain the UWS’s capacity to accommodate overseas instructional programming; a market analysis to determine need and feasibility of delivering overseas instructional programs; and the design and development of pilot overseas instructional modules.  Direct oversight of design and development phase with a budget of $292,000.00
