Analysis of FE Exam Results

Overview

The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is required to obtain a professional engineer license.   It is most often taken by undergraduate students well before graduation.  Thus, most students taking this exam have not completed the curriculum.

The data suggests that no subject area is being overemphasized and no subject area is being underemphasized.  The only subject to appear more than once in the "worse" list is Statics.  The pass rate for the FE examination is slightly better than the national average.

UWM does not require that its students take an FE preparation course.  Taking the test is optional and there seems to be a decline in the number of students taking the test.
