I am a graduate student in the experimental psychology doctoral program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and my primary area of study is behavioral neuroscience. Before coming to UWM, I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology from the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota.

My work in the Helmstetter lab presently uses rats and Pavlovian conditioning to study the neural mechanisms of fear memory.  Specifically, I am interested in exploring the consolidation of fear memory across time and brain structures. Most recently my research has been focused on the temporal expression of the activity-regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein (Arc) in brain structures implicated in fear conditioning.
