Joining The Class Listserv

To join the class listserv send email to:
listproc@uwm.edu
In the message text area enter the following:
subscribe ais308 your full name
So I would do: subscribe ais308 Ceil Pillsbury

Please note that ais is small letters and there is NO space between ais and 308

VERIFING THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE LIST

If you would like to verify that you have been added to the class listserv, you can do so by sending an email message to listproc@uwm.edu, do not include a subject, and in the message text, include the following: recipients ais308. Within a few minutes, you will receive a message that shows all of the subscribers to the list.

Once you have joined the listserv you will get a message back acknowledging you have subscribed. When you want to send a message to the listserv from now on, all you do is address your message to ais308 (or ais308@uwm.edu, for off campus accounts). When you do that the message goes to everyone on the list. You can check the messages that have been posted to the list by looking on the class web page behind the Systems book and the Class Listserv button. Or you can look in your alpha email account--all the messages will appear there also.
