New additions to our team...

We have 2 new undergraduate RAs joining the CNRL this Spring. Welcome to Therese Borges and Leah Van Grinsven. Both students have excellent academic records and should make a wonderful contribution to our lab.

2007 International Neuropsychological Society Conference

2007 Society for Research and Child Development Conference

Kirsten Li-Barber will be attending the 2007 SRCD Conference which is held in Boston, Massachusetts this coming March. She will present a poster entitled:

2007 Midwest Psychological Association Conference

Four of our undergraduate RA's will be attending the 2007 MPA Conference in Chicago this coming May. Two posters will be presented:

WPA Scientific Research Poster Awards

Congratulations to Melissa Brah and Heather Schultz for presenting their poster entitiled, "Anxious Reactivity to Sound in Young Children with Williams Syndrome: Findings Using Observational Methods." They received 1st prize for the Margaret Bernauer Psychology Research Award at the 2006 Wisconsin Psychological Association Conference.

Conference Presentation: Report on Cutting-Edge Autism Research

Dr. Klein-Tasman presented at the Milwaukee area conference, "Unfolding the Map: Finding Routes to Autism Resources." She discussed the current status of the field of research about autism, which has exploded in recent years as new findings emerge at a rapid pace. Dr. Klein-Tasman presented a summary of recent findings from scientific journals, and also summarized cutting edge findings presented at the International Meeting for Autism Research (IMFAR) in June 2006 in the areas of early identification of autism spectrum disorders, neuroimaging, genetics, and treatment research process. IMFAR is attended by the preeminent researchers in the field of autism research. Dr. Klein-Tasman discussed some of the challenges of conducting well-designed research about people with autism spectrum disorders, so that those reading the research could have a sense of when a study is done well. She was co-Chair of the conference organization committee.

Williams Syndrome Association Conference
