Program Curriculum
Students in the program complete the following:
- 18 credits (about 6 courses) in one academic year
(September to May).
- Capstone Requirement that involves international study
through one of the following:
an internship with an
international company a
course at a cooperating university abroad
a special project on an
international issue
Core Courses
Students select three courses from among the following:
- English 435 Professional and Technical Writing
- English 436 Writing for Information Technology
- English 437 Project Management for Professional Writers
- English 439 Document Design
- English 708 Advanced Professional Writing
- English 709 Rhetoric, Writing, and Information Technology
- English 710 Advanced Project Management for Professional Writers
Elective Areas
Students select two elective courses from a wide variety of
subject areas at UWM.
Business Administration
- International Human Resource Management
- Multinational Business Operations
- Managing Information Technology
Communication and Training
- International and Global Communication
- Seminar in Intercultural Communication
- Cultural Adjustment and Training
Translation and Foreign Languages
- Seminar in Advanced Translation
- Terminology Management and Computer Translation
