The Man With The Blue Guitar

The man bent over his guitar...

They said,
"You do not play things as they are
When you play them on the blue guitar."

The man replied,
"Things as they are
are changed upon the blue guitar."

They said,
"Then play you must,
a song beyond us,
yet ourselves."

Lemon

Man builds the cities,
With banks and cathedrals.
Man melts the sand
So he can see the world outside...

These are the days
When our world has come assunder.
These are the days
When we look for something other.

A man makes a picture,
A moving picture.
Through the light projected
He can see himself up close.
Man captures color,
And likes to stare.
He turns his money
Into light to look for her.
She is the dreamer,
She's Imagination.
