Milwaukee Public Radio

Radio WUWM is a broadcast service of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

WUWM signed on the air in September 1964.Since then the station has served listeners in Southeastern Wisconsin with quality news, public affairs and entertainment programming.

Licensed to the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and operated by the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee College of Letters and Sciences, WUWM broadcasts a format of in-depth news and information 24 hours a day with a power of 15,000 watts at 89.7 on the FM dial.

WUWM is funded by private listener donations, contributions from local businesses, professions and foundations, as well as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.
