Video Description
Students and faculty in the School of Information Studies learn and connect across classrooms, meeting spaces and the UWM campus. An instructor leads a class in a computer lab, students collaborate in a hybrid seminar, and an academic advisor meets with a student. Students walk across campus with friends, enter UWM’s historic Mitchell Hall, gather at an outdoor campus event, work in computer labs and explore historic maps and materials in the library’s map collection.

Our mission is to educate the next generation of library science and information technology professionals by offering a rigorous curriculum that fosters professional knowledge, skills and experiential practice, ethics, critical inquiry and leadership to address the needs of our diverse and global information society. SOIS graduates are prepared not only for the current information and technology services landscape but also for future-ready careers and as-yet-undiscovered environments.
Maxim explored many IT focuses with the help of his teacher and mentor Jason Dietenberger and landed a technology internship at Eppstein Uhen Architects.
