Candidates seeking admission to the M.Arch/MUP program submit one
application, which is reviewed by both programs.
 

REASONS STATEMENT

Required with application. For the Urban Planning component, this statement should address the following:
 

Why are you interested in becoming a professional planner?
What do you expect from a program in urban planning?
In what way is this program expected to meet your needs?
Any details in your personal history or background, which are relevant to your interest in professional urban planning.

The GRE must be taken in order to apply for University fellowships and departmental assistantships. To report scores, use R1473 as the institution code.
 

RECOMMENDATIONS

Three letters of recommendation from people familiar with your academic and/or professional work. Letters should be from non-related individuals who know you through previous academic programs or relevant professional activity.
 

PORTFOLIO

Required of all applicants.
Format: 8-1/2” x 11” bound;
name on cover – no CDs

International applicants are advised to apply by September 1 to allow time for processing all credentials, and to meet deadlines for financial assistance.
