Vicky Johnson
Freshman Advisor, Bolton 170C, Phone: 414-229-6689

"Hold your head up because you have every right too. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself. For if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either. You make of your life anything you wish. Everything happens for a reason, nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Events occur to test the limits of your soul. Create your own life and then go out and live it!" Unknown

Hi, I'm Vicky Johnson. Freshman Advisor in the Department of African American Student Academic Services in the College of Letters and Science. I would like to first welcome you to UWM. As Freshman Advisor, my goal is to provide new students with information and resources to ensure that you are able to reach your goal of getting your baccalaureate degree. I want to assist you in building a strong educational foundation to ensure your success.

Originally from Chicago, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from UWM. I am always happy to share my college experiences with you, not just for the humorous stories, but also for the lessons learned. The journey ahead of you will not always be a simple road to navigate, but with some guidance you will be able to handle those stepping-stones gracefully. I am available to help you adjust to campus life and class expectations, register for classes, or just talk (personal or academic).

In my leisure, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, reading and working on my computer. Please feel free to stop by, call or drop me an email, I would love to hear from you. Remember we are here for you.
