Mission Statement
The mission of the College is to provide excellent instruction and to conduct high-quality research in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The College's programs prepare students to enter the world as informed, responsible citizens with the skills necessary to adapt to an increasingly complex world and to contribute meaningfully to their communities and workplaces. As a liberal arts institution, the College seeks out, preserves, and transmits knowledge and fosters critical thinking, aesthetic appreciation, and a deeper understanding of subject matter that facilitates the transfer and application of knowledge.
