Academic Policies and Curriculum Committee
Meeting: Monday, May 7, 2007, 3:00 p.m.
Holton Hall 241
Agenda No. 11
- Call to Order
- Procedural Matters
- Informational matters
- The Comparative Study of Religion major program change proposal approved at the last AP&CC meeting has been modified to remove the "Stage I" revision. The proposal to incorporate the research requirement will be sent forward. The program plans to make additional changes to the Stage I, II, and III requirements in the near future.
- The CAR form for Sociol 700 Professional Seminar approved at the last meeting has been withdrawn. The Graduate School requested that the department instead set up a new course, 701, that is identical to the form proposed for 700. The use of a new course number will allow the change to be effective in Fall, 2007 when the next cohort of graduate students is admitted. Sociol 701 is listed under automatic approval below because it is identical to the revised 700. The form has been forwarded to the Graduate School in order to secure approval prior to the end of the academic year.
- Election of chair for 2007-2008
- Authorization for summer actions
- Request for blanket approval of CAR forms dropping international and seminar statements
