2003-2004

The Academic Policies and Appeals Committee met five times during the 2003-2004 academic year: October 10, 2003; October 31, 2003; November 21, 2003; March 19, 2004; and May 5, 2004.

The Committee recommended to the L&S Faculty that a policy be adopted concerning the effective date for the implementation of changes to a major.

The Committee discussed the Extraordinary Accommodations for Students with Disabilities policy proposal. It was decided that it would have to be addressed by the new Academic Policies and Curriculum Committee in the next academic year. Michael Gordon, who wrote the policy for the Committee, was asked to write a report outlining the Committee's actions to date in response to the Legal Affairs request and submit it to the new committee and the Dean.

No further actions were undertaken by the committee for the academic year.
