VI.B.2.	It was moved and seconded to recommend to the Dean approval of the proposal change the requirements of the Ancient Mediterranean Studies Certificate. Kevin Muse and Richard Monti gave a brief explanation of the change and answered questions from Committee members. The motion was approved.

It was moved and seconded to recommend to the Dean approval of the following courses: Art Hist 260 Spanish Visual Art and Culture (new) Art Hist 342 Art and Civic Culture in Fifteenth-Century Florence (new) Art Hist 447 Topics in Early Modern Art: (Subtitle) (new) Tanya Tiffany gave a brief description and answered questions concerning the new courses. The motion was approved.
VI.A.1.	It was moved and seconded to recommend to the Dean approval of the following courses: Econ 801 Advanced Macroeconomic Theory I Econ 802 Advanced Microeconomic Theory I Econ 803 Advanced Macroeconomic Theory II Econ 804 Advanced Microeconomic Theory II Sunwoong Kim described and answered questions concerning the new courses. The motion was approved.

1. Approval of Minutes #1 (September 15, 2004) - Kathryn Dindia asked that the minutes be corrected to state that she offered to serve on the international requirements subcommittee, not the extraordinary accommodations subcommittee. She also noted that the proposal to modify requirements of the Communication M.A. was tabled. Margaret Atherton asked that her name be removed the extraordinary accommodations subcommittee and be placed on the international requirements committee. The minutes were approved as amended.
2. CAR Forms - view on web at http://www.des.uwm.edu/intranet/carform - Connie Jo announced that the CAR form Ethnic Studies 102 was withdrawn. Members of the Committee asked Connie Jo to contact the German department requesting the word "Advanced" be removed from the title of German 115 because it is a 100 level course. 1. Subsequent to the previous AP&CC meeting, the department changed the numbers for the following:

2. Appointment of Subcommittee for L&S International Requirement - Members of the Committee asked Connie Jo to contact the following faculty, in the order requested, asking them if they would be willing to serve on the L&S International Subcommittee: Kristin Ruggiero, José Lanters, Gabrielle Verdier, Jay Beder, Yea Fen Chen, Donald Pienkos.
3. Appointment of Subcommittee on Extraordinary Accommodations - Connie Jo noted that Michael Gordon is on sabbatical and, therefore, will not chair the subcommittee, but he is willing to serve. Tom O'Bryan commented that there are two professors in the Psychology department who give the tests to students who are having difficulties in math. Connie was asked to contact the Department to ask for a nominee for the subcommittee.
4. Review of Subtitles for Variable Content Courses - The Committee discussed what actions should be taken to prohibit departments from using topics similar to courses offered in other departments. After much discussion, members agreed to continue discussion of this issue at the next meeting.
