College of Letters and Science Faculty Document No. 621 October 17, 2002 Academic Policies and Appeals Committee Annual Report, 2001-2002 The Academic Policies and Appeals Committee met twice during the 2001-2002 academic year: October 3, 2001, and April 9, 2002. Jane Nardin was unanimously elected as Chair. The Committee submitted a Policy on Appeals for Waiver of Degree Requirements to the L&S Faculty on November 1, 2001, and the policy was approved (Faculty Document 606) with two revisions. The Committee declined an opportunity to consider changes in the College's CLEP policies, referring the matter to individual departments. The following student appeals were considered:
