University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Letters and Science 2002-2003 Committee On Committees Meeting: Monday, February 17, 2003 Holton Hall 241 Minutes No. 3 Present:   Martha Carlin, Mary K. Casey, Alice Gillam, Robert Hessling, Reinhold Hutz, Connie Jo, Charles Wimpee Guest: Denise Mueller The Chair, Martha Carlin, called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. in Holton Hall 241. Automatic Consent Minutes #2, 2002-2003 (November 18, 2002) were approved unanimously as submitted. Procedural Matter Election of Chair for 2003-2004 - Charles Wimpee was elected unanimously to serve as Committee chair for the 2003-04 academic year. Old Business - None New Business Faculty Meeting: April 3, 2003 - The Committee approved the April 3 date for the faculty meeting. Faculty Meeting Agenda Items - The draft agenda for the April 3 was adopted, with some reordering of New Business items. Nominations - Committee members reviewed the nominations. Due to the lack of potential nominees, members of the Committee suggested faculty members who may be willing to serve on various committees. The Committee asked Connie to contact these individuals to ascertain their willingness to stand for election. Connie will draft the Nominations Report to the Faculty and send copies via email to Committee members for their review. Alice Gillam agreed to run the nominations at the faculty meeting since Martha Carlin is teaching at that time and will not be able to attend the meeting. The Committee members unanimously expressed their thanks to Martha Carlin for her service as chair of the committee.
