| Commun 381 |
Health Communication (new) - |
The Committee discussed the possible conflict with JMC offering a topics course with a similar title during the spring. Cam Tatham and Connie Jo will contact Communication and JMC informing both departments that the course will be approved contingent on JMC's agreement to change the topic the next time the JMC course is offered. With that amendment it was moved, seconded, and approved to recommend to the Dean approval of Commun 381. Concerns were expressed over the similarity of the project required for each of the following courses:
| Commun 481 |
Interpersonal Issues in Health Communication (new) |
| Commun 581 |
Health Communication Interventions (new) |
It was moved, seconded, and approved unanimously to table these courses. The Committee requested that a faculty member from Communication be present at the next meeting to answer questions concerning the courses.
- The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Connie Jo
