Recommendation of the L&S Graduate Program Committee and the Master's in Liberal Studies Program to Change the Name of the MLS Degree


Recommendation:

That the Faculty approved the request from the Master's in Liberal Studies Program to change the name of the degree granted to the Master of Liberal Studies.

    UWM tradition names master's degrees as "Master of XXXXXX." "Master of Liberal Studies" or "Master of Liberal Arts" also is the name used by virtually all Liberal Art/Studies programs in the U.S. We would like UWM's degree to conform to these traditions.
