College of Letters and Science Faculty Document No. 601 November 1, 2001 2000-2001 Certificate Program in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies Advisory Committee Annual Report During the academic year 2000-2001 the program coordinator answered calls, messages, and letters from students all over the country and abroad interested in undergraduate and graduate study, enrolled and advised students, updated the website, and maintained contact with the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center. The required Introduction to LGBT Studies was offered again this year, as before, under the rubric of 350-248, thanks to the generosity of the Department of English. The list of approved courses in the fall and spring semesters included courses from many L&S departments and several other schools. The program cosponsored a number of events: the annual Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, the second workshop on The Dynamics of Homophobia organized by Multicultural Affairs, and the lecture by Leslie Feinberg.
