    1. Community Certificate Programs Subcommittee Proposal to Authorize Awarding Undergraduate Certificates to Non-Degree Candidates - It was moved, seconded, and approved unanimously to recommend that the appropriate faculty governance body authorize awarding undergraduate certificates to non-degree candidates under the parameters enumerated in the Subcommittee's proposal.
    2. Computer Literacy - The Committee reconsidered its previous draft memo to departments requesting information about on-line learning in L&S majors. A revised draft memo to department chairs was amended and approved. Responses will be requested by November 29th. Connie Jo was asked to send a reminder to departments on November 25th.

      1. CAR Forms - It was moved, seconded, and approved unanimously to recommend approval of the following CAR forms.

      1. Proposal to Modify the Requirements of the Major and Minor in Spanish - on web at http://www.des.uwm.edu/intranet/opc/viewform.cfm?FormID=279
        The proposal was discussed briefly. Committee members had several questions. They agreed to consider the proposal at the next meeting and to ask a member of the department to attend.

  7. Adjournment - The meeting was adjourned at 2:42 p.m.
