  1. The chair, Jay Beder, called the meeting to order at 10:08 a.m. in Holton Hall 241.


  2. It was moved, seconded, and approved to suspend the agenda to accommodate the guests.

    VI.A.1   Cynthia Sommer gave a brief description and answered questions concerning the following CAR Forms:
    BioSci 204-315 Cell Biology (new)
    BioSci 204-316 Laboratory in Genetics and Cell Biology (new)
    It was moved and seconded to recommend to the Dean approval of these CAR forms. The motion was approved.
    VI.A.2   John Norbury gave a brief summary and answered questions concerning the requirements in the Physics major. It was moved and seconded to recommend to the Dean approval of the proposal to modify the requirements of the Physics major. The motion was approved.

    It was moved, seconded, and approved to return to the order of the agenda.
