- The Chair, Cam Tatham, called the meeting to order at 1:04 p.m. in HLT 241.
- Quorum Change - The Dean has approved the faculty's recommendation to reduce the quorum for faculty meetings to 25.
- Approval Matrix - The Dean has approved the revisions to the L&S Approval Matrix.
- Automatic Consent
- Minutes #2 (December 8, 2000) were approved as submitted.
- Procedural Matters
- Election of Chair for 2001-2002 - Cam Tatham was elected unanimously to serve as Committee chair for the coming year.
- Old Business
- Distinguished Professors Nominations - Cam Tatham reported that he has received no feedback from the University Committee on this matter. He indicated that he will contact Jay Moore, Chair of the University Committee, to determine if the UC is addressing the issue.
- New Business
- April 12 Faculty Meeting Agenda - The agenda for the April 12 faculty meeting was adopted as submitted. Committee members agreed that they would vote on the inclusion of additional business via email.
- Nominations - Committee members completed nominations. They were unable to identify the requisite number of nominees for each open position. The Committee authorized Connie Jo to seek additional nominations, particularly from the natural science departments. Connie will draft the Nominations Report to the Faculty and circulate it to committee members for their review.
- Adjournment - The meeting was adjourned at 2:20 p.m.
