Recommendation of the Committee on Committees
That the Faculty Adopt a College Approval Matrix

Recommendation:

That the Faculty of the College adopt the internal College approval matrix as presented in this document.

Rationale:

The University has an approval matrix that outlines the specific steps in the approval processes for various proposals, but it addresses only approval beyond the College level. In some cases, it is not clear to which governance bodies within the College certain proposals must go. The Committee on Committees proposes the matrix below to ensure that the College handles its approvals consistently and with the degree of faculty input that the L&S Faculty desires.
