- Draft Memo to APCC Regarding GERs--Members discussed the draft prepared by Jane Nardin. There was a general consensus in the views expressed, but concern was expressed that efforts on the part of L&S to restrict the assignment of GER status to courses, as the degree requirements originally intended, might encourage other schools and colleges to develop additional courses of their own, thus defeating the purpose of this effort. No action will be taken at this time, but this item will be discussed again at the next meeting.
- New Business
- Humanities
- GER Form
Linguis 550-211 Power of Words: Building a Copious Vocabulary (GER-HU) was not recommended for approval. (Subsequently, the department asked that the form be submitted to APCC to request HU credits for non-L&S students.)
