Minutes No. 2

  1. Call to Order--The meeting was initiated via an email message from C. Jo, forwarding to members a draft of the "Recommendation of the APAC to Create a Uniform Departmental Grievance/Grade Appeal Procedure," at 11:16 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 1999 (copy attached).

  2. Procedural Matters - None

  3. Automatic Consent
    1. Approval of Minutes #2, 1998-1999 (April 14, 1999) - deferred
    2. Approval of Minutes #1, 1999-2000 (February 23, 2000) - deferred

  4. Old Business
    1. Grievance Procedure--Professor Bergtrom recommended a number of editorial changes (copy of April 5, 2000 email attached) that were accepted by committee members. On May 1, 2000, the fifth vote in favor of approving the recommendation was received; the final vote was 5 in favor, 1 abstention, 3 non-responses. The recommendation is approved and will be forwarded for action by the L&S Faculty.

  5. New Business - None

  6. Adjournment - Following receipt of the fifth approval vote at 10:29 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2000, the meeting was considered adjourned.
