1. Call to Order - The meeting was called to order by the 1998-99 chair, Fred Anapol.
   
   
2. Procedural Matters
   1. Election of Chair for 1999-2000 - Fred Anapol was elected unanimously as Committee Chair for 1999-2000.
   2. Election of Chair for 2000-2001 - Fred Anapol was elected unanimously as Committee Chair for 2000-2001.
   
   
3. Automatic Consent
   
   1. Approval of Minutes #2, 1998-1999 (April 14, 1999) - The minutes were approved as submitted.
      
   
   
4. Old Business
   1. Grievance Procedure - It was moved and seconded to approve the draft grievance procedure. A motion to amend the policy by adding "or his/her designee" following "chair" in all sections was seconded and approved. After additional discussion, it was moved and seconded to table the motion until Erl Olfe and Connie Jo redraft the proposal incorporating a number of suggested changes. The motion was approved. The draft will be circulated via email. If it is acceptable, the committee will take action via an email meeting.
      
      
   2. Connie and Erl reported that the Dean's earlier proposal for a two-tiered admission system for the College had been withdrawn. Student data did not support clear parameters for identifying which students were at risk and which would thrive in more challenging academic opportunities. Work is being done on a draft of an Honors College.
