Minutes No. 2


  1. Call to Order - Associate Dean Donna Van Wynsberghe called the meeting to order at 2:35 p.m. in HLT 241.

  2. Procedural Matters
    1. Election of Chair - Professor Joseph Rodriguez was elected chair of the Committee for 1999-2000.
    2. Minutes #1 (November 12, 1999) were deferred.

  3. Automatic Consent - None

  4. Old Business
    1. Diversity Assessment Report for Letters and Science - Linda Daley distributed copies of some of the pages of the Assessment Report, and the information was discussed. Charmaine Clowney of the Office of Diversity and Compliance discussed exit interviews and ODC data on affirmative action.

  5. New Business
    1. The Milwaukee Commitment report was distributed. The report and L&S implementation of its recommendations will be discussed at the next meeting.

  6. Adjournment - The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
