  1. Call to Order
The chair, Bill Kean, called the meeting to order at 2:09 p.m. in HLT 241.

  2. Automatic Consent
    1. Minutes #2, October 8, 1998, were amended (Section V.H.) to clarify the prerequisite for W-I courses. For courses to be designated as W-I, they must carry the following prerequisite: "satisfaction of the GER composition requirement." The intention of this requirement was to establish the current GER composition requirement as the prerequisite. We will continue for some time to have many students on campus who have satisfied an older GER composition requirement. Rather than carrying the prerequisite as indicated above, W-I courses will have the requirement spelled out in the prerequisite as follows: "a grade of C or better in English 102 or score of 637 or higher on EPT."
