- The Chair, Mark Schwartz, called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. in Holton 241.
- Automatic Consent
- Minutes of the Special Meeting, held Monday, April 19, 1999 were approved as submitted.
- Procedural Matters
- The Committee discussed the procedures it would use for reviewing recommendations. Several suggestions were made. It was the consensus of the members to look at requests in each area, giving attention to the Dean's priorities to see if they are compatible with those of the Committee.
- Committee members requested copies of the previous year's recommendations to the Dean and of the recommendations ultimately forwarded by the Dean. Pat Kissinger will provide this information, including a list of carryover positions from last year.
- Old Business
- Continuation of the PAR Review will be delayed until the task of making recommendations for new positions is completed.
- Review of positions will be continued when the committee next convenes.
- New Business
- Review of Centers -- delayed until position recommendations are completed
- Sabbatical Procedures -- delayed until position recommendations are completed
- The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
