| Subject: | Sylph taper |
To: rodmakers@wugate.wustl.edu From: robert maulucciI just picked up a South Bend Single Built Cross Sylph model that is a great casting rod. However, it is dramatically different in taper from the rod in the taper archives. Can someone explain this? I thought that Wes Jordan kept everything pretty close to specs. Or else, is the taper archive rod misnamed. Anyway, if someone wants the taper here goes: This is listed without the varnish. I subtracted .005 already. 7'6" 2/1 DT5 Action length 81" 1 .075 5 .086 10 .107 15 .119 20 .145 25 .164 30 .185 35 .196 40 .205 45 .213 50 .218 55 . 238 60 . 257 65 . 281 70 . 300 75 .336 80 .376 -bob
