& Media Relations
The Office
of University Communications and Media Relations serves the university,
as well as local, national, and international constituencies, by providing
timely, accurate, and targeted information on university issues, achievements,
and practices.
Our office serves
the campus through UWM Report and this web
site, and the general public through our media relations efforts. Staff
members develop placements with print and electronic media by monitoring
the activities of faculty and staff, initiating meetings and interviews
to explore their research, teaching, and other accomplishments, and determining
the proper outlets for their stories.
Staff also meet regularly
with deans, assistant deans, department heads and other campus administrators
who can provide information on new initiatives.
