Gamma Gamma Chapter History

The UWP Colony Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc was founded by Brother Ralph "Mikki" Robinson. Brother Robinson is known as the "Baba" (Swahilli for father) of our chapter. The first members of the Colony were inducted on December 10, 1995.

The UWP Colony Chapter of Iota Phi Theta became the first fraternity established at the University of Wisconsin Parkside. On July 11, 1997 the UWP Colony Chapter addressed the national body of the fraternity at the 26th National Conclave/Convention of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc and successfully petitioned for a chapter charter. On this day, the colony became the "Gallant" Gamma Gamma Chapter. The charter members were Brothers:

In 2003, Gamma Gamma was re-chartered as a Milwaukee City-Wide Chapter by the Midwest Region. The Milwaukee City-Wide Gamma Gamma Chapter was founded by Brother Ken Arrington and Brother Michael Bailey. After almost 7 years since the last intake line, 1 young man stepped up to reactivate Gamma Gamma and vitalized the Milwaukee undergraduate scene.

Men of The Gamma Gamma Chapter of Iota Phi Theta have strived to stay true to the ideals of our Honorable Founding Fathers. The men of The Gamma Gamma Chapter are always working to be a strong force in the community.
