Guidelines on how to formulate a complaint

The University Student Court (USC) exists as a final means to solving disputes and reserves the right to refuse any case which has not yet sought all possible avenues of resolution.

The USC will only consider complaints that are in accordance with the following guidelines:
  1. All complaints must include:
    1. At least one Plaintiff and Defendant within jurisdiction.
    2. Plaintiff(s) and Defendant(s) name, contact information and organization.
    3. Copy of the Bylaws and Constitution for each organization involved.
    4. All relevant documents and supporting evidence pertaining to the case.*
  2. The complaint must specify each allegation, supported by evidence, and it must include a specific demand for relief.
  3. It must cite the Constitutional, Legislative, Common Law, Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised or other authorities which are the basis for relief.
  4. Each complaint must be typewritten.
*NOTE: It is NOT the duty of the USC to gather information on any case. This responsibility lies solely on the parties involved. Only in the case of deliberate hindrance may the USC become involved in the collection of the evidence within its legal limits.

Turn the signed complaint into the University Student Court office during our regular business hours.
