What is UWM's Student Occupational Therapy Association???
SOTA (The Student Occupational Therapy Association) is a student
organization within an Occupational Therapy (OT) program at a
college/university. Each school that has an Occupational
Therapy program offers a chapter of SOTA for its students to participate
in.
Why should I join UWM's chapter of
SOTA???
SOTA allows OT students and Pre-OT students the opportunity
to...
- learn more about Occupational Therapy,
- learn about issues within practice today,
- increase OT awareness, as well as the value of and importance
of OT treatment, within the community,
- meet other students, faculty and staff within their program,
- have access to valuable Pre-OT class notes (in ANY
class),
- give, take, and offer support to other students within your
program,
- have some fun, fun, fun!!!!!!!!
How do I join UWM's chapter of SOTA???
To join the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA),
all one has to do is...
- Be a Pre-OT or OT student at The University of Wisconsin
- Milwaukee.
- Fill out an application.
- Pay your yearly FEE ($10.00 for OT students, and only $5.00
for Pre-OT students--half price--what a deal!!!) to SOTA's treasurer.
- Participate as much as you'd like to in SOTA's social and
educational events as much as you'd like.
