Occupational Therapy/
Two words hard to explain.
For there really isn't anything else that's quite the same.
For, what is "occupation"?
Does it mean the job I do?
"Sort of," said my OT, "but it means so much more, too."
It means combing your hair,
Or zipping up your coat,
Driving in your car, or fishing off your boat.
It means dialing a phone,
Or fastening a snap,
Cradling a baby, or knowing how to read a map.
It means working at your job,
And having what you need,
To tackle every day with a balanced life, indeed.
From putting on your pants,
To cooking food gourmet,
It's all the things you do as you go about each day.
It's all the simple things,
It's the difficult things too,
It's everything and anything you'll ever have to do.
Occupational Therapy.
The road, the path, the way,
To getting back your skills to go about your day!
