The Black Student Union has many services available for students at UW-Milwaukee. It also holds yearly events.

Services include: The Black Organizations Network (BON), BSU Community Alliance, BSU Connections, BSU Fund, BSU JobNet, BSU Partners, BSU Academic Advisors, BSU Ambassadors, BSU Mentors, BSU Tutors, and BSU Volunteers.

Black Organizations Network
BON's mission is to create a network among African-American student and professional organizations which provide employment, internship, programs, and services to African-American students at UW-Milwaukee. (more...)
BSU Community Alliance
is a group of community non-profit organizations throughout the City of Milwaukee community offering our members the opportunity to volunteer to better benefit our community. (more...)
BSU Fund
BSU Partners is a group of committed professional men and women who believe that our students are an important investment to the enrichment of our African-American community. (more...)
BSU Academic Advisors
UWM African-American faculty within each school, college, department, and program which help African-American students register for classes, plan their semesters, and give academic and non-academic guidance throughout their college career.

BSU Ambassadors

BSU Ambassadors are an extraordinary group of members of the Black Student Union. They are frontline people who promote the organization and represent the organization at all of our events, programs, and much more. Ambassadors are members who have the important task of representing BSU to the University and the City of Milwaukee Community.
BSU Mentors
BSU Mentors are Black Student Union juniors and seniors who have obtained high academic standing. Their purpose is to help other BSU members through their college career. These mentors are a very important factor in our member's college lives and professional career.
BSU Tutors
BSU Tutors are Black Student Union juniors and senior members lending a hand to other Black Student Union members through academic and non-academic help with homework, projects, employment, and much more. Their main objective is to provide students with lasting academic support.
BSU Volunteers
BSU Volunteers are active and dependable Black Student Union members, who attend special events, programs, community projects and more on behalf of our organization.


Events

Each year the Black Student Union holds events which raise money for its programs and further the development of its members. Events such as the African-American Black Tie Ball, BONFair, BSU Picnic, BSU "Tru Balls" Financial Seminar, Hunger Clean-up, and the National Black Student Union Conference. (more...)
