ASME

  1. Website- Shawn has updated the website with current information.
    1. The web address is:    http://www.uwm.edu/StudentOrg/ASME/
    2. A link to the sub site will be added to the ASME website.
    3. Need to contact ASME National to update our website address.
  1. Nominations

      Officers-
President: Ben

  1. Organize game dates and activities (Brewers, Bucks, ect)
  2. Talk to Ted and Julie’s class to recruit new members

More nominations can be made at the next meeting. Elections will also be held   at the next meeting.

  1. Social Events

Due to the limited time left in the school year a list to social events has been made that must occur during the dates given. If there aren’t enough people attending one of the events it will not be held.

-Milwaukee Brewers- Saturday April 21st at 6:00pm  (vs. Hou)
Tickets will be about $10 food and drinks will be provided. More   people can sign up for the game but please do so by Thursday.

                        - Miller Brewing Company- Saturday April 28th in the AM
                                    Need to contact Miller to see if we can get a special tour of facility.      
   
- ASME vs ASCE- Saturday May 5th
Softball game if enough people are willing to play otherwise a football game.
                                   
Need to contact ASCE to see if they have enough people

HPS

  1. Cross sections for the sub are done. Foam was also purchased for the plug. Construction on the hull will begin soon.

  1. Progress
    1. Sam Haworth spoke on the propeller design and provided pictures and video of the propeller design.
      1. Parts need to be machined, prints are available in the Sub room in the cream desk drawer.
    2. Ben Hason spoke on the sub hull and provided pictures and a website which will be available from the ASME site under links within the week.
      1. The sub will be 12’ long x 27” diameter
  1. Working space
    1. Dr. Perez attending meeting and agreed to speak with Mike Brown in the machine shop on opening the woodshop during the weekends pending some restrictions which will be relayed as necessary.
