Welcome
to the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare and to our World Wide
Web Page! The Helen Bader School of Social Welfare is starting a
new chapter in its history. In fall, 2007, we will be admitting
our first three students in the doctoral program in social work.
The school, in addition, has just finalized a 1 million dollar collaboration
with the Milwaukee High Intensity Drug Traffic Area to begin new
research projects and offer increased internship opportunities to
criminal justice students. We are experiencing growth in both the
criminal justice and social work departments, and the school has
just finished a strategic planning process that created a new mission,
vision, and strategic goals (see below). More than ever, we need
alumni and other interested parties to become involved in the school.
Our Alumni Association is moving forward and our student groups
are becoming more engaged with faculty and staff. As we move forward,
we hope to hear from you and receive your input and feedback.

Stojkovic, Ph.D.
