The Media Center, located in AUP272, helps students, faculty, and staff complete their visual and graphic work in the school.

We have a fully equipped and staffed professional photography studio where you can photograph your work with our assistance. We are equipped with professional Digital SLRs and lighting. We also have an 11x17 professional scanner.

We provide all the equipment needed and instruct students on how to photograph their work for professional looking results. Absolutely no experience in photography is required to use the facility. With only a few minutes of instruction you can start making professional looking photographs here.

The studio is large enough to accommodate almost any size project. Most often we help photograph models, drawings, furniture, people, and school events. We can also help with photography on your location.

Appointments are encouraged in order to reserve time and space, and schedule staff to be on hand when you arrive. We are always available to help you on a “walk-in” basis too! There are no fees for any of our services.

The Media Center houses a photography lab production area and black & white film lab. In the production area you will be able to lay out your work for matting and dry mounting. The lab contains an area for black & white and film processing. We also have lots of light boxes for tracing.

In the Tracing Room, you can project images from slide, opaque, and digital projectors for tracing images of almost any size. The room can be darkened and has several light boxes available.

Another area of the Media Center is a multimedia room where you can edit analog (VHS), and capture & edit digital video.

Stop by anytime for a tour or bring some work and let us help you get started!

Media Center hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30-5:00, Friday 8:30-4:30
