Research Interests
Housing issues related to how to reduce housing costs, especially for low-
and moderate income families. I've studied and written extensively on
development standards and regulatory techniques that allow for more
affordable housing. In recent years, a good deal of my work in this area has
involved affordable factory-built housing.
I'm also interested in urban redevelopment and how inner-city neighborhoods
may be revitalized. Of special interest is understanding inner-city markets
and the potential for new commercial and industrial development in these
areas.
