Research Interests
Real estate development, urban design and post-occupancy evaluation. How
can design add value to real estate development? Among the many variables
involved in real estate how much does design create value and success? In
which building types and under what circumstances is design especially
potent in creating value? What particular aspects of design are important?
Applied research projects in the design and analysis of urban and suburban
venues are also ongoing. Compact development and traditional neighborhood
development are promulgated, as well as investigated, as solutions to
problems of growth and urban infill. Case studies in post occupancy
evaluation and programming of buildings have been conducted for over twenty
years and continue for specific building types.
