GIS Students Win WLIA "Best in Category/Best Student Poster"

Again this year, UWM GIS students have taken a First Place award at the Wisconsin Land Information Association annual conference!

A team of four students in UP 793 (GIS3) won "Best in Category" as well as "Best Student Poster" for "Using GIS to Identify Key Locations for Best Management Practices in Milwaukee"You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader - This is the download link for Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF:1.45MB) in the WLIA 2006 Annual Conference Map Gallery Competition & Poster Contest this past week in Wisconsin Dells.

There were eight different categories and theirs won over other professionals and students in the Map Poster Category: "informative, eye catching, colorful, interesting (not just a map; tells a story)."
