talk@midday: thoughts and actions on the built environment

Friday March 7, 2008, 12:00-1:00PM, AUP 183

"The Settlement of Puerto Ricans in Central Florida: Spatial and Social Issues," William Vélez, Professor of Sociology, UW-Milwaukee

You are invited to attend a monthly seminar that  brings researchers from across the UW campus to speak at SARUP. The speakers are chosen because their research addresses  issues in the built environment of concern to students, scholars, practitioners, and community members. These seminars are especially important for introducing SARUP students to UWM scholars and researchers  who can be important resources for them in the course of their graduate studies.

talks@midday are scheduled for the first Friday of every month from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM in AUP Room 183. Kindly mark your calendars and consider attending. The talk is followed by tea and refreshments.

This semester's speakers include Raoul Deal, Visual Arts, UWM; William Velez, Sociology, UWM; Rachel Ida Buff, Comparative Ethnic Studies, UWM; and Rhonda Montgomery, Sociology, UWM.
