Study Abroad Program

One of the pearls that SARUP offers students in our
architecture program is the opportunity to learn architecture from multicultural perspectives. Students who participate in our Study Abroad programs might find themselves for a semester in the fast-paced streets of Tokyo, admiring an expansive, modern cityscape. Or they may find themselves exploring and working at an 11th century church restoration project in a small village in
Italy. Our study abroad programs take students to such places as England,
France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Sri Lanka and Turkey, and immerses them in these cultures. Workshops, lectures, fieldwork, and visits to notable sites—both well known and off the beaten path—are all part of the experience. While the focus of these tours is on architecture, historic preservation, and urban and industrial design, there are also opportunities for participants to experience and enjoy the local color of these wonderful places. SARUP faculty administer the program and accompany students on their tours.
